B.L.A.A. 1st Annual Lake Clean-up and Fall Meeting
The Brooks Lake Area Association is planning the first annual Clean-Up Day for 9:30 a.m to noon Saturday, September 20th.
Volunteers will meet at Veterans Memorial Park on the shores of Brooks Lake and are welcome to come and go as their schedule allows. Volunteers will help to clean and weed the rain garden, clean up the beach area and spread new sand piles, walk the shores or go by boat around the edges, and for those brave volunteers who don’t mind getting wet helping to rake unwanted weeds and debris in the swim area. Volunteers are asked to please wear covered shoes or boots, bring rakes, and garden/work gloves if they have them.
The event is being sponsored as a part of the larger Crow River Watershed Clean-Up Day which includes Brooks Lake. Brooks Lake Area Association will be holding a short annual meeting from 10:30-11:00 am for those who are interested and a light lunch will be served at 11am for the hard working volunteers.
