Brooks Lake Area Association


Brooks Lake is located in the heart of Cokato Minnesota. The lake has a surface area of 96 acres and a maximum depth of 21 feet. Brooks Lake features the Legion Park with a public access for fishing and recreation.

Brooks Lake Area Association monitors clarity and water quality through tests and surveys. They hold an annual meeting and publish a yearly newsletter. The association aims to promote, maintain and improve the environmental and recreational protection of Brooks Lake and its surrounding area while addressing the wants and needs of the residents, community, lake and watershed as a whole.

Brooks Lake Area Association is now accepting donations and membership dues via PayPal on the Join page here on the website. Doanations can also be made via the same button. Please do not hesitate to donate to our cause!

B.L.A.A. Spring Meeting is not yet announced

Brooks Lake Area Association is holding a spring meeting as usual but we have not picked a date or lacation yet. Please stay tuned to for more information regarding the coming meeting.

Since the business will be similar to last year, this is the anticipated agenda:

  • DNR permit request and Variance request for CLP Treatment
  • Treasury Report
  • Volunteer to be present/rep at City of Cokato Parks Boad Meetings
  • Volunteer to reach out to Golf Course
  • Facebook and Member Status
  • Discussion of yearly dues currently $10
  • Fundraising, can trailer, possibilities?
